After Walker questioned his chances against Sergei Pavlovich, Pereira offered a first class flight to Las Vegas and a paid sparring bet. A day later, he went after Walker's record on Instagram.

Pereira Has Put a Price on Proving His Point

Alex Pereira has challenged Valter Walker to a sparring session in Las Vegas, offering first class travel and a payment tied to Walker's last fight purse. Crazy TV believes the challenge matters because Pereira has moved beyond arguing about fighting ability and proposed a specific test of Walker's greatest strength.

According to an October 13, 2026 report by Sebastian Bergman for The Body Lock, the disagreement followed Walker's criticism of Pereira's chances against Sergei Pavlovich.

Pereira is scheduled to face Pavlovich at UFC 335 on December 12 in Las Vegas.

Walker also suggested that he would be a favorable matchup for Pereira.

Pereira responded by inviting him to train and offering a financial incentive if Walker could catch his foot.

The offer is public. The sparring session is not confirmed.

That distinction matters because a challenge only becomes a sporting result when the athletes actually compete.

Walker's Submission Record Makes the Challenge Meaningful

The proposed test is not arbitrary.

The Body Lock reports that Walker has won his last five fights by leg lock submission.

That streak establishes why Pereira specifically mentioned a foot attack.

He is challenging an opponent in an area where that opponent has demonstrated repeated success.

Crazy TV believes this gives the exchange more substance than an ordinary verbal dispute.

Pereira is known for his striking, while Walker's recent victories have come through submissions targeting the legs.

Their different strengths create a legitimate technical question.

Could Walker impose his submission game against Pereira in a controlled training environment?

The available report cannot answer that question. Neither can Pereira's confidence.

Five consecutive leg lock victories demonstrate Walker's effectiveness against those opponents, not proof that he could submit every fighter.

Likewise, Pereira's striking accomplishments do not automatically establish how his defensive grappling would hold up against Walker.

That is why the proposed encounter attracts attention. Neither man's existing record settles the question completely.

First Class Travel Turns Words Into Specific Terms

Pereira did not limit his offer to an invitation.

Speaking with Laerte Viana, according to The Body Lock, Pereira said he would arrange travel from Russia to Las Vegas and provide first class accommodations.

He also offered to pay Walker an amount equal to his previous fight purse if Walker caught his foot during sparring.

Those details make the proposal more concrete.

But Crazy TV believes they should not be confused with a formal agreement.

The report does not establish that travel was booked, money was deposited or either fighter signed terms governing the session.

It also does not disclose the amount of Walker's last fight purse.

That means the offer has a defined condition but no independently confirmed dollar value.

A dramatic promise can attract attention. A completed agreement would establish something different.

Until then, the record contains Pereira's proposal, not a scheduled contest.

Calling Someone Scared Does Not Prove They Are

Pereira also criticized Walker's willingness to train with him.

The Body Lock quotes Pereira saying, “I invited him to train with me and he ran off.”

Pereira further alleged that Walker was frightened of the proposed encounter.

Those are Pereira's claims, not independently established explanations for Walker's conduct.

On October 14, BJPenn.com reported that Pereira had also criticized Walker's record in an Instagram comment, asking others to examine the quality of his opponents.

Crazy TV believes fighters should be free to challenge each other, but accusations about another person's motives or competitive legitimacy require evidence.

The October 13 report said Walker had not publicly answered the latest offer at publication. That changed when Sherdog reported an October 16 response in which Walker said he was still waiting for the promised ticket.

That response establishes Walker's publicly stated willingness to pursue the encounter. It does not establish that transportation was arranged or sparring occurred.

Pereira's Heavyweight Future Carries Bigger Stakes

The sparring challenge arrived during a significant period in Pereira's career.

The Body Lock reports that Pereira lost to Ciryl Gane in his heavyweight debut at UFC Freedom 250.

He is scheduled to meet Sergei Pavlovich in the co main event of UFC 335.

Pereira previously held UFC titles at middleweight and light heavyweight.

His attempt to establish himself at heavyweight provides the wider competitive context.

Crazy TV believes that is the more consequential test.

A sparring session with Walker might offer insight into a specific grappling exchange. It would not replace an official UFC result.

Nor would catching or escaping a foot attack determine Pereira's chances against Pavlovich, whose matchup presents a different competitive problem.

Walker questioned Pereira's prospects in that fight. Pereira challenged Walker directly.

The arguments are connected, but the sporting tests are not interchangeable.

The Next Move Must Be Documented

Walker has publicly responded to Pereira's challenge, but the available reports do not confirm an arranged sparring session.

The next meaningful developments would be confirmed travel arrangements, an agreed training session or evidence that the encounter actually happened.

None should be assumed.

Pereira's scheduled December 12 fight against Pavlovich remains the upcoming official competition identified in the reporting.

Crazy TV's verdict is that Pereira made a specific offer, while Walker's five consecutive leg lock victories explain why the challenge deserves attention. But a promised first class ticket is not proof of superior grappling, and a public accusation is not proof of fear. Both fighters have earned recognition in different areas of combat sports. If they meet, the action can address the narrow question. Until then, the challenge remains a challenge.

Would a sparring session between Pereira and Walker prove anything meaningful about their fighting abilities, or would only an official bout settle the argument?

Culture. On record.
